Falling in love at first sight is a risk that can lead to disappointment and hurt, or to a magical, eternally nourishing emotion to be recalled. I’d rather take the risk and have a chance at the reward, than never try and be guaranteed to miss out. My priority is not what a random attractive person will think about me. My priority is what my soul mate will remember for the rest of our life about our first letters, first conversations, and first eye contact.

I’d rather love and get hurt, than never truly love at all. I’d rather love than live in fear of heartbreak. Oh yes, I’d rather love…no matter the risk or cost.
